Terms of service

The terms on which Virtual Coder Inc. makes this website available. They govern the site itself, not any engagement — that is set by a separate signed agreement.

Using this site

You may read, print and share this site for your own business purposes. You may not scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, misrepresent its contents, or use it to break the law.

This is not an offer, and not advice

Nothing here is a binding offer to perform work, a quotation, or professional advice you should act on without talking to us. Descriptions of services and indicative prices are illustrative; the actual scope, price and terms of any engagement are set out in a signed agreement.

Sending an enquiry does not create a client relationship, and does not make what you send confidential. Please do not send anything sensitive until we have an agreement in place.

Portfolio and third-party names

The portfolio describes systems we have built or contributed to. Product names, logos and trade marks belong to their respective owners, and their appearance here is descriptive rather than a claim of ownership, endorsement or partnership. Work performed under a confidentiality agreement is not listed.

Our content

The text, drawings and design of this site belong to Virtual Coder Inc. unless stated otherwise. You may quote a reasonable extract with attribution; you may not republish the site wholesale or present it as your own.

Availability and accuracy

The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available but do not guarantee either, and we may change or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Links elsewhere

Where we link to another site we are not responsible for its content or its handling of your information.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
