Virtual Coder

Privacy policy

How Virtual Coder Inc. handles personal information collected through this website.

Last updated 7 September 2026

Scope

This policy covers virtualcoder.io. It does not cover software we build for clients, which is governed by the agreement with that client, nor any third-party site we link to.

What we collect

Information you send us. If you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, and optionally your company and an indicative budget, together with whatever you write in the message. The same applies if you email us directly.

Server logs. Our host records standard request data — IP address, user agent, the page requested and a timestamp — as a normal part of serving and securing the site.

We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and it sets no cookies of its own.

Why we hold it

To reply to your enquiry, to assess whether we are a suitable fit for the work, and to keep a record of our correspondence. Where the law requires a lawful basis, ours is legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry, or the steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

Who else processes it

Vercel hosts the site and processes request logs. Resend delivers contact form submissions to our inbox. Google Workspace hosts the mailbox that receives them.

These providers act on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is retained for as long as there is a plausible business relationship, and then deleted. Server logs are held on our host's standard retention schedule. You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner.

Your rights

We are a Canadian company and handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw consent, or to object to our processing of it. Write to hello@virtualcoder.io and we will respond within thirty days. If you are unsatisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you are in the UK or EU, to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

We are based in Ontario, Canada, but our hosting and email providers operate in the United States, so information you send us may be processed there.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
